The Big Sky Pitch is an exceptional opportunity for filmmaking teams to "pitch" their documentary work-in-progress to a panel of the top commissioning editors and funders for documentary film. All documentary forms and all subjects are eligible to submit. Held in the University of Montana University Center Theater in Missoula, Montana, the Big Sky Pitch is open to a live audience of filmmakers, industry representatives, and students. Commissioning editors will have the opportunity to critique and comment on each pitch. A maximum of 10 projects will be accepted to pitch in this session. Selected projects will have 10 minutes to pitch their project and show a sample, if available, followed by a 10 minute feedback session with panel. This is an engaging and entertaining experience for filmmakers and non-filmmakers alike.

The 2018 Big Sky Pitch event will take place Thursday, February 22 at the University of Montana UC Theater, on the third floor of the University Center. A shuttle will be available between campus and the Holiday Inn running about every 30 minutes. Driving directions and parking maps are available at the links below.
